Terms & Conditions
1.Compulsory Documentation
The following documentation must be provided to rent a car.

- Driver’s Licence
A valid driving licence held for at least 1 year before rental. The driver must be at least 21 years old. A copy of both sides of the driving licence must be presented prior to handover.

If the driver is a resident of the UAE, a copy of a valid UAE driving licence must be provided.

If the driver has a driving licence issued in the GCC, (from Bahrain, Kuwait, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Oman, Qatar), they must provide their driving licence from that GCC country.

All non-UAE residents, (those on a visit visa), are required to hold a valid International Driving Licence along with their National Driving Licence, except drivers holding a driver’s licence from the following countries. European Countries – Albania, Austria, Belgium, Britain, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, The Republic of Montenegro, Turkey, Ukraine
North American Countries - United States of America, Canada

An additional driver may be added at the time of booking, as long as they meet all the above licence requirements, and we are provided with their details as above.

- Emirates ID or Passport Details

UAE residents must provide a copy of both sides of their Emirates ID.
-
Tourists and visitors must provide a copy of their passport ID page.
The above-mentioned documents in section 1 and 2 should be emailed to rental@wav.ae at least 24hours prior to the scheduled vehicle hand over.

2. Reservations, Payments & Cancellations

Reservations can be requested by completing the e-mail form on the "Contact Us" page on the website, by emailing rental@wav.ae, WhatsApp or calling the reservations office.

A confirmation message of availability will be provided to you once we have received your reservation request.
-
Once the deposit has been paid by the due date, an invoice receipt will be sent, confirming your booking.
-
Final payments must be paid prior to vehicle delivery.
-
In the case of a bank transfer, a transfer receipt from the Renters bank must be provided as evidence of the transfer. However, the vehicle will not be handed over to the Renter until the funds have been received by WAV Specialised Transport LLC.

Rentals that are to commence in less than 2 weeks from the invoice due date are to be paid in full – security deposit plus rental fee.

The security deposit of 3,000AED will be required and refunded (less any charges such as fines, tolls or damages) within 30 days of vehicle return.
-
Cancellations may be made up to 14 days in advance of hire less a charge of 5% of the total cost to cover transaction and administration charges that WAV Specialised Transport LLC has incurred.
-
Cancellations made within 13 days or less of the due vehicle collection date, are subject to loss of security deposit.

3. Refunds
-
Cancelled bookings that are eligible for refunds will be processed within 30 days of the cancellation notice being received by WAV Specialised Transport minus any cancellation charges as applicable.

All credit card refunds will be processed back to the same card that was charged. Bank transfer deposits will be returned to the Renters account minus cancellation charges and bank fees.

Any requests for a cancellation / refund after a payment has been made, will bear a charge of 5% of the total cost to cover transaction and administration charges that WAV Specialised Transport LLC has incurred.

Refunds will not be given on early return of a daily or weekly vehicle rental.
-
The refund of the security deposit will be processed within 30 days upon the return of the vehicle.
4. Vehicle Delivery & Return

The vehicle will be delivered and returned at the agreed upon time at the agreed upon cost.
-
The vehicle is to be delivered and returned to Galleria Mall in Al Barsha. If you require the vehicle to be delivered or returned elsewhere, there will be a minimum fee based on the location.

The rental time begins at the previously agreed upon start time.
-
If the customer is late for the return time, costs will incur after a grace period of 59 minutes. An additional day will be charged if the grace period of 59 minutes is exceeded. If the vehicle is not returned within 4 hours of the agreed return time, the Renter will instead be charged twice the daily rate per day from that day and each day forward until the vehicle is returned or repossessed by the Company.

Vehicle Drop-off / Refuelling – Rental commences with a full tank of petrol and should be refuelled prior to return. Should a fuel top-up be required, 300AED will be charged to the customer at the end of the hire or taken from the security deposit.

Once the vehicle has been accepted by the Renter, the Renter accepts full responsibility for the vehicle until it is returned and checked by WAV Specialised Transport staff. The vehicle must be in the same condition as indicated on the Vehicle Check Report.

The Renter accepts responsibility for any damages, fines, tolls or loss of the vehicle from the time of accepting the vehicle until it is returned.
-
The vehicle must be returned with all accessories (eg spare tyre, wheelchair restraints).
-
WAV Specialised Transport reserves the right to repossess the vehicle at any stage during the rental period at their discretion.
-
WAV Specialised Transport is not responsible for the loss or damage of any personal items during or after the rental period.
-
If the Renter chooses to terminate a contract early, a higher rate may be charged. Eg. If a month rental period is cut short by over a week, a weekly/daily rate may apply.
-
On occasion, WAV Specialised Transport may need to replace the vehicle with a similar vehicle so that the rented vehicle can be serviced or repaired (eg in case of an accident).

A fee of 300 AED will be charged for Dubai International Airport / Dubai World Central Airport delivery from whence the rental then begins.
-
A fee of 300 AED will be charged for an Dubai International Airport / Dubai World Central Airport drop off when the vehicle is returned to a WAV Specialised Transport representative.
-
Regarding Dubai International Airport / Dubai World Central Airport, a mutually agreed pick up or drop off time will be agreed upon in advance. If the customer is late for the return time, costs will incur after a grace period of 59 minutes. An additional day will be charged if the grace period of 59 minutes is exceeded. If the vehicle is not returned within 4 hours of the agreed return time, the Renter will instead be charged twice the daily rate per day from that day and each day forward until the vehicle is returned or repossessed by the Company.

If the vehicle is not returned on the agreed upon date, if fees are not paid or the vehicle is being used in an illegal manner, WAV Specialised Transport has the right to report the vehicle to the police as stolen, recover the vehicle without notice and/or file a police case for non-payment or misuse.

If the agreed upon return time or place needs to change, the Renter must inform WAV Specialised Transport at least 1 day prior.

5. Conditions of Use

The vehicle must only be driven by the designated driver unless an additional driver has been previously nominated and agreed upon in writing prior to rental.
-
The Renter is fully responsible for returning the vehicle in the same condition as to which it was initially rented, as agreed upon on this form and as documented via digital media.
-
The vehicle must only be used for private use and not as a commercial vehicle.
-
The vehicle is to be used for its intended purpose; to transport wheelchair passengers and/or their family and friends.
-
The vehicle must be driven in a manner that complies with the UAE road rules and regulations.
-
The ramp must only be extended or retracted when the vehicle is stationery.
-
The ramp must be able to extend fully and touch the road or pavement, with no space between the ramp and road/pavement surface.
-
The vehicle must not be driven with any door open.
-
All vehicles have individual tracking devices installed.
-
The Renter will be liable for any damages incurred if there is evidence of improper use of the ramp.
-
The vehicle must only be used on paved roads.
-
The vehicle must not be used to tow any trailer or vehicle.
-
The vehicle must not be sub-rented.
-
The vehicle is to only be driven in the UAE unless previously agreed upon in the rental agreement.
-
The Renter will be held accountable for any damage to the vehicle through misuse.
-
WAV is not responsible for personal property left in the vehicle during or after the rental period.
-
In the event of the Renter acting in an illegal manner, the Renter entitles WAV Specialised Transport to share their personal data with the police, RTA, CID or other relevant authorities.
-
You must not sit in a scooter while travelling in a WAV. It is important to note that you cannot sit in a mobility scooter while travelling in a WAV. Unlike a wheelchair, the passenger cannot be secured in the mobility scooter safely enough for travel. Mobility scooters are open at the sides and the handlebar could pose a serious risk of injury in the event of an accident.

6. Damages

In case of any damage occurring to the vehicle, WAV must be immediately informed. If another vehicle/person is involved, the police must also be informed immediately. WAV will be able to assist you with this process. WAV Specialised Transport : (+971) 50 6541906 (+971) 58 5057686

The excess fee is up to 3000AED. The Renter must pay the excess amount if damages to the vehicle are incurred.

The Renter is responsible for any damage incurred to the vehicle as a result of misuse such as driving off paved roads, using the incorrect fuel and illegal driving activities.
-
A non-smoking policy applies in all vehicles. WAV reserves the right to charge for vehicle deodorising and/or professional valeting, if necessary, at the end of a hire should vehicles have smoke affected interiors.
-
If the vehicle is returned in a condition that requires specialised cleaning, the valeting costs will be charged to the Renter plus loss of rental day(s).
-
Loss of car key will be charged at 1000 AED.
-
Window and tyre damage is not covered under insurance and the Renter is accountable for the cost of their repair or replacement.
-
No repairs, maintenance or servicing of a vehicle is to be performed without the prior written consent of WAV Specialised Transport.
-
Any loss or damage incurred to or suffered by the Renter or any other third party in relation to the rented vehicle, is not the responsibility of WAV Specialised Transport.
-
It is the Renters duty to make sure the tyres are properly inflated during the rental period.
7. Accidents & Traffic fines
-
In case of any damage occurring to the vehicle, WAV Specialised Transport must be immediately informed. If another vehicle/person is involved, the police must also be informed immediately. The Renter must contact WAV Specialised Transport and the police immediately if there has been an accident, any personal injuries or theft of the vehicle (or any parts of the vehicle). The police will issue you a Police Report and a copy of this official Police Report must be forwarded to WAV Specialised Transport within 24 hours. If the Renter fails to send this to WAV Specialised Transport within a reasonable time frame or does not provide it at all, the Renter will bear the full cost of any repairs or for replacing the vehicle.

The Renter is responsible for any government-imposed fines accrued during the rental period. Non-payment of any of these fines will be reported to the relevant authorities and police.

The information of the traffic fine received from the government authority may be delayed, therefore we are not responsible for the delay in the customer being notified.
-
For each traffic or parking violation, a 10% service fee will be charged by WAV Specialised Transport for administration costs. If the Renter is responsible for a traffic offence that requires the authorities to impound it, WAV Specialised Transport will avoid this by paying any required fines and pass these along to the Renter plus a 10% service fee.

If the Renter’s negligence requires roadside assistance and/or a recovery truck, the Renter shall bare the charges for this.

WAV Specialised Transport is authorised by the Renter to debit any charges from the Renters security deposit according to the Rental Agreement. These include all ancillary charges such as traffic fines, petrol, damages to the vehicle, Salik or Darb tolls etc.
8. Toll roads in Dubai & Abu Dhabi
All of our cars are fitted with Salik and Darb Toll Gate tags.
* In the event the Renter incurs a Salik or Darb charge, WAV Specialised Transport shall charge this to the Renter. A fee of 5AED per crossing at the toll gates shall be made payable at the end of the rental period or be taken from the security deposit.
9. Fuel
Vehicle Dropoff / Refuelling – Rental commences with a full tank of petrol and should be refuelled prior to return. Should a fuel top-up be required, 300AED will be charged to the customer at the end of the hire or taken from the security deposit.
10. Child Restraints

Restraint points for child seats are included with each vehicle. You can provide your own child seat or hire one from us at the rate of 20AED per day. Please advise at the time of reservation if a seat is required. Baby capsules are not available for hire and must be supplied by the Renter.

The installation of the child safety seat or booster seat is the Renter’s responsibility, as is the proper restraining of the child.

Please refer to UAE laws regarding child restraints in a vehicle.
11. Payments
For bookings that are more than 2 weeks in advance:
- Security Deposit Payment
The security deposit payment needs to be paid by the due date (at the top of the invoice), to secure your booking.
- Rental Payment
A rental payment invoice will be sent to you once the deposit has been made. This will need to be paid by the due date, at least 24 hours prior to the rental commencement date.

For bookings that are made with less than 2 weeks until vehicle handover:
The security deposit and rental payment need to be paid by the invoice due date.
